I recently got to experience to be in first class with Thai Airways international flight from Suvaranabhumi international airport to Hong Kong International Airport with their Boeing 777.
Living in Bangkok for almost two years now means frequently flying out from Suvarnabhumi Airport. There are two main airports here in Bangkok, one is Suvarnabhumi where Star Alliances Airlines fly out from, and the other one is called Don Mueang International Airport where low cost carriers are designated.
Check in and Lounge
Booking the First Class Airfare means there are perks to it, not just some fancy leg room up in the air. Arriving and checking in at the airport gets you more advantage than any other passengers.
You get to use the special Royal First/ Royal Silk Entrance, where you have a private area specifically for First Class and Royal Silk Platinum card holders. The only thing you have to do is sit back and relax while the Thai airways personnel do all the work for you. There’s also an immigration counter design to accommodate the Thai Airways Royal Silk passengers.
Now there are quite a few Royal Silk Lounges around the airport, if you are running short of time to enjoy the main lounge; they will drive you to the nearest Lounge next to the boarding gates of your flight. Like many other airlines, Thai Airways International offers their Royal First Class / Thai Airways Royal Silk platinum card holders a different lounge different from the Royal Silk Lounge.
One of the most memorable thing about flying with Thai Airways First Class is their Royal Silk Spa that’s located between the Main Royal first and Royal Silk Lounges. Unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to enjoy the free one hour Thai Massage. If you’re flying Business Class you will get a 30 minute free foot massage. I suggest arrive in the Airport with a lot of time to spare, preferably 2 hours before your flight.
The Royal First Lounge offers a private room and comfortable seats for large groups. And you can enjoy their bar where they serve some thai sweets, sandwiches, and a variety of drinks. But if you’re not feeling the small delicacies you can always order from their menu design to cater you at any time of the day.
if you have been enjoying yourself in the lounge don’t forget to board your plane! now, now don’t fret the airline staff will tell you when it’s time to go.
From the Land to the plane the service in Thai airways is exemplary. Although our flight to Hong Kong only takes about 2 hours and a half, it still give them enough to time to serve us our delicious lunch and a wonderful high tea above the clouds.
But all pleasantness must come to end, and for us it landed.
